Troyer Race Cars, originally created by modified legend Maynard Troyer, is arguably the most recognizable name in Asphalt Modified racing. Its roots go deep into the history of American motorsports, as Troyer was among the first official modified chassis manufacturers in the country, and has remained among the most successful since 1977. From 2004-2014, Troyer was the chassis brand of each Modified Tour championship team and driver.

In 2019, TFR Distribution acquired the Troyer brand and began providing the Troyer customer and dealer base with engineering and inventory levels never before seen in the brand's history. In 2022, Troyer found themselves back to their winning ways with a NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Championship with Tommy Baldwin Racing as owner, something that has eluded the brand since the LFR brand entered the modified racing scene in 2015. Troyer again won as the chassis brand for 2025 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour champion Austin Beers and his KLM Motorsports team.​
